Indian Penal Code, 1860

237. Import or export of counterfeit coin

Whoever imports into¹²⁸[India], or exports there from, any counterfeit coin, knowing or having reason to believe that the same is counterfeit, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine.
