The Recycling of Ships Act, 2019
18. General requirements.-
(1) No ship shall be recycled without the written permission or, as the case may be, the deemed permission of the Competent Authority obtained in such manner as may be specified by the regulations.
(2) Any ship registered in India and intended to be recycled outside the territory of India shall be recycled only at a ship recycling facility duly authorised by such authority as may be specified by the regulations.
