21. Protection of action taken in good faith.-
No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the appropriate Government or any local authority or any officer of the Government in respect of anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of the provisions of this Act and any rules made there under.
Under Section 21 of the transgender persons (protection of rights) act, 2019, no suit, prosecution, or other legal proceedings may lie against the appropriate Government or any local authority or officer for anything done or intended to be done in good faith. Under the transgender persons protection rights act 2019 framework, Section 21 shields public officials implementing welfare measures from vexatious litigation.
